AirPower History Tour Comes to San Marcos, TX
A unique collection of historic aircraft will be available for tours and flights at the CAF Central Texas Wing April 30-May 2! Come see one of only two flying B-29s in the world, the queen of the CAF fleet, FIFI along with the plane that led the main airborne invasion at D-Day, the C-47 Tat's All Brother. You'll also see the P-51D Gunfighter, the first Air Force One, Ike's Bird. and our very own T-6 Texan "Miss Red Tail." This is a weekend you do not want to miss!
Friday, April 30 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. L-26 & B-29 will arrive Friday morning. B-29 cockpit tours available one hour after arrival. P-51 arrives at noon, rides available after 1:00 p.m. L-26 & T-6 rides available all day.
Saturday, May 1 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. B-29 flies at 9:00 a.m., 10:30 a.m., & 12:00 p.m. C-47 flies at 9:30 a.m. & 11:00 a.m. B-29 cockpit tours available after noon. L-26, T-6, & P-51 rides available all day.
Sunday, May 2 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. B-29 flies at 9:00 a.m. & 10:30 a.m. C-47 flies at 9:30 a.m. & 11:00 a.m. L-26, T-6, & P-51 rides available 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
Event Admission Cost: $20: Adults $10: Children (Age 11 thru 17) Free: Children (Age 10 & Under)
All tickets are purchased on-site on the day of the event. Price includes free B-29 & B-24 cockpit tour when the aircraft is available. Rider's admission is complimentary with proof of purchase. Attending aircraft subject to change due to weather or maintenance.
