Ways to Give
Support the CAF with a monetary gift. You can choose to make a one time or recurring gift. There are several options to choose from. You may donate online here. If you'd prefer to mail your donation, please click here for form.
The CAF's Federal Tax ID number is: 74-1484491.
Introduced in 2017, the members of The Victory Circle are an exclusive community of individuals dedicated to honoring American military aviation through flight, exhibition, education, and remembrance who make an annual gift of $1,000, $2,500, $5,000, or $10,000. Members enjoy VIP access to events and leadership, as well as other special privileges and gifts.
The Heritage Club is an organization of friends, who by sharing the long-term vision of the CAF, have established a planned gift for the future benefit of the organization as part of their estate planning. Donations to the Heritage Club may be designated as an unrestricted gift or restricted to the endowment. The American Airpower Heritage Foundation (AAHF) is the financial branch of the CAF and manages our endowment funds, including all unit endowments. Earnings from the endowment are distributed in keeping with the organization objectives. The CAF General Staff (Board of Directors) directs any unrestricted gifts, as described in the Gift Acceptance Policy.
The Protecting Americans from Tax Hikes Act of 2015 extended the IRA Charitable Rollover permanently. The extension allows individuals aged 70 1/2 and older to donate up to $100,000 from their IRAs to the CAF tax-free. You do not receive an income tax charitable deduction. This provision allows you to transfer money from your IRAs directly to the CAF, without having to recognize the transfer as taxable income. Please consult with your tax advisor about your specific situation.
When you donate to the CAF from your IRA, please notify the CAF so we can watch for your donation from your retirement fund. You may reach CAF Development Office at 214-330-1700, x105 or email@example.com.
The CAF provides both formal and information educational programs. In 2021, the CAF opened the Henry B. Tippie National Aviation Education Center on our National Airbase campus in Dallas, Texas.
