2024 OLYMPIC AIR SHOW ANNOUNCES FEATURED PERFORMERS

OLYMPIA, WA. MARCH 2024 The Commemorative Air Force Rainier Squadron announces its participation in the upcoming Olympic Air Show. In a Facebook post, the Unit unveiled its plans to give rides at the air show, such as they have done in previous years. The Rainier Squadron, accompanied by a fleet of legendary aircraft, will kick off the Western Washington air show season during Father's Day weekend. The event will be hosted by the Olympic Flight Museum at the Olympia Regional Airport on June 15-16, 2024.

Now in its 24th anniversary year, the Olympic Air Show promises an impressive display of aircraft and exhibits spanning from World War II to more recent eras. Among the featured aerobatic demonstrations from the museum collection are the iconic P-51D American Beauty, the formidable AH-1 Cobra Gunship helicopter, the sleek L-39 Albatros, and the unique Kaman HH-43 Huskie.

Joining the museum's lineup are esteemed visiting performers, including the West Coast Ravens Demonstration Team, the historic 1943 PBY-A Catalina "Princess of the Stars," the classic Curtiss P-40E Kittyhawk, and the majestic B-17F Flying Fortress "Ye Olde Pub." Visitors will have the opportunity to embark on ground tours of the PBY Catalina and even take rides in the B-17F Flying Fortress.

Adding to the excitement, the Washington State Department of Natural Resources Aviation Division will conduct an aerial fire attack demonstration. The event will also feature renowned aerobatic performers such as Anna Serbinenko Sky Dancing, Ross Granley, Renny Price, Greg Howard, Steven Bennett, and Bill Shepherd.

In addition to the thrilling aerial displays, attendees can explore a World War II encampment complete with authentic military vehicles and uniformed personnel. A beer garden, food and merchandise vendors, and a variety of youth activities will further enhance the weekend event, promising entertainment for all ages.
