Cavanaugh Museum Closes Their Doors

Addison, TX, January 2, 2024 - The Cavanaugh Flight Museum concluded its three-decade-long run at Addison Airport this month. In a recent Facebook post, the museum announced that the final weekend of 2023 marked its last time welcoming visitors. The museum possesses an extensive collection of aircraft and military vehicles, including over 50 models spanning a century of aviation history.

The Cavanaugh aviation collection, which encompasses military and civilian aircraft, will soon find a new home at the North Texas Regional Airport in Denison, Texas. Although the museum has yet to unveil its future plans, a message on its website hints at an encouraging "new chapter ahead.”
