FLY THE PT-26
April 14-25, 2025 The New York Wing Commemorative Air Force (NYCAF) will be providing warbird experience rides out of the Empire State Aerosciences Museum in Scotia, NY from April 14th to April 25th. The aircraft will be on display in the main hangar with flight experiences being conducted all day April 16th, 19th, 20th, and 23rd (weather and aircraft permitting). On the April fly-in breakfast date (4/19), a presentation will be held discussing the PT-26, Commemorative Air Force, and the New York roots Fairchild Aircraft has. Following the presentation will be an in depth tour on the aircraft in the hangar.
In the evening of April 19th, an engine night run event will be held in conjucntion with the monthly fly in breakfast. The plan is to have the PT-26 positioned under spotlight and then give photographers the opportunity to experience a period correct aircraft performing an engine run in front of a World War II era hangar. Photo opportunities for cars with the airplane are welcome that night as well. This would be held at 7:00pm and/or around sunset with admission being $20 per person.
