Non-Flying Artifact Donations

Do you have a piece of history you'd like to preserve for future generations? The Commemorative Air Force and Henry B. Tippie National Aviation Education Center, through the American Airpower Heritage Museum (AAHM), gratefully accepts donations of historical artifacts that help us tell the story of military aviation and the people who made it possible.
How the Donation Process Works
1. Collection Oversight: The American Airpower Heritage Museum (AAHM) manages all non-flying artifacts, including uniforms, documents, equipment, photographs, and oral histories. While many artifacts are housed at the Henry B. Tippie National Aviation Education Center in Dallas, others are displayed at CAF Unit locations across the country.
2. Donations Only: Artifacts are accepted by donation only. Please note that we do not purchase items.
3. Submit a Donation Form: Complete the Artifact Donation Form below. Include as much detail as possible about your item, and attach photos if available. Once received, a museum staff member will contact you to discuss next steps.
4. Proffer of Gift Form: If your item is accepted into the collection, you will be issued a Proffer of Gift. This legal document transfers ownership of the item(s) to the American Airpower Heritage Museum. All donations must be made without restrictions.
Thank you for helping us preserve history and honor the legacy of American airpower. If you have any questions before submitting your donation form, feel free to contact us at info@flynaec.org.
