NATIONWIDE EVENT Brig. Gen. Chuck Yeager was a U.S. Air Force officer, flying ace, and record-setting test pilot best known for exceeding the speed of sound in level flight. February 13, 2023 will mark Yeager’s 100th birthday. His family would like to make his birthday a day of celebrating aviation all over the world to honor his vast contributions to aviation.
They have created a worldwide event, the 1st annual GREAT INTERNATIONAL FLY-INg honoring Chuck Yeager. To participate they want everyone to fly and post a photo online and tag @GeneralChuckYeager. If you can not fly, you are encouraged to visit an airport cafe, aviation museum, or CAF wing.
