ONLINE EVENT Come aboard the German Battleship Bismarck in May 1941 with WWII Historian and 3D modeling artist Konley Kelley. Learn about the Bismarck’s sortie into the North Atlantic and the shocking destruction of the British Battlecruiser HMS Hood under Bismarck’s guns. Fortunes turned when an obsolete Royal Navy Swordfish biplane hit the Bismarck’s rudder with a torpedo dooming the seemingly indestructible battleship. Kelley will also discuss the fate of the Bismarck’s sister ship Tirpitz. Using interesting models, artwork, and visions in popular culture tied to this legendary warship will be explored.
