THE TOP 10 CAF THINGS TO SEE AT EAA AIRVENTURE IN 2022

Here are the top 10 “CAF” things to see at EAA AirVenture in 2022. It’s going to be another great year at EAA AirVenture. We hope to see many of you there. Of course if you can’t make it, you can follow along by following our Facebook and Instagram and subscribing to our Youtube channel.

  1. P-39 Airacobra with Bud Anderson - The Warbirds In Review presentation with the Central Texas Wing's P-39 Airacobra and World War II, Triple Ace, Bud Anderson. The Central Texas Wing will publicly unveil new livery on the P-39 to honor Bud Anderson and the plane he flew, OLD CROW.

  2. Tuskegee Airmen Presentation - Drop in to the Skyscape Theater to see a presentation from Lt. Col. George Hardy and Lt. Col. James Harvey.

  3. WASP Historians - See the historians who specialize in the history of the Women Airforce Service Pilots.

  4. Warbirds In Review - Pairing aircraft with those who built, flew and maintained them.

  5. P-63 Kingcobra - Of the nine new fighter designs tested by the United States Army Air Force (USAAF) in 1942-43, only one was produced in quantity – the Bell P-63. Don’t miss your chance to see this aircraft up close!

  6. B-25 Miss MItchell - The B-25J "Miss Mitchell" served in the 310th Bomb Group, 57th Bomb Wing of the 12th Air Force in North Africa and Italy completing over 130 missions. This aircraft is maintained by the Minnesota Wing of the CAF.

  7. PBJ Devil Dog - This aircraft always attracts a crowd, with its brilliant blue livery, you can’t miss it! Learn more about the history of Devil Dog here.

  8. U.S. Air Force 75th Anniversary Heritage Flights - 2022 marks the 75th anniversary of the U.S. Air Force's life as its own branch in the military. The heritage flights will match up modern aircraft with historical ones from past wars.

  9. CAF Rise Above: Traveling exhibit - The fully functional mobile movie theater features two compelling original short RISE ABOVE films that tell the story of the Tuskegee Airmen or the WASP, and the obstacles they both overcame to be able to serve their country during WWII. Learn more here.

  10. TORA’s pryo show - The Tora Bomb Squad will be providing pyrotechnic effects for several of the airshows.
