Gifts by will are one of the CAF's most important sources of individual support. Bequests provide support for the CAF's aircraft, units, endowments or areas of greatest need. A bequest can be made in the form of a specific gift of cash or property, or a percentage of the remainder of the estate. The latter allows more flexibility in planning.

To leave a gift add the following or similar information to your will: "I give to the CAF, a non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation, located in Dallas, Texas, Federal Tax ID Number 74-1484491, the sum of $____ [or ____% of the rest, residue and remainder of my estate] to be used for [aircraft, unit, endowment, or unrestricted]."

Note: Should the specific aircraft or unit no longer exist within the CAF, the gift will be redirected to benefit the CAF organization.

If you are interested in leaving a gift for the CAF in your will, follow these next steps:

1. Contact the CAF Development Office at 214-330-1700 or development@cafhq.org for additional information on bequests or to chat about the different options for including the CAF in your will or estate plan.

2. Seek the advice of your financial, legal and/or tax advisor.

4. Print out and return the Heritage Club Membership form.
