Designed by North American Aviation, the AT-6 is known by a variety of designations depending on the model and operating air force. The U.S. Army Air Corps and U.S. Army Air Force designated it as the AT-6, the U.S. Navy, the SNJ, and British Commonwealth Air Force, the Harvard. The Texan remains a popular warbird aircraft used for airshow demonstrations and static displays. It has also been used many times to simulate various Japanese aircraft, including the Mitsubishi A6M Zero, in movies depicting World War II in the Pacific. A total of 15,495 T-6s of all variants were built.

    PT-19 . More . Info

The Fairchild PT-19 is an American Fairchild Aircraft monoplane primary trainer aircraft that served with the U.S. Army Air Forces, Royal Air Force, and Royal Canadian Air Force during World War II.

PT-19 N51263 was built in 1942 and was used as a Women Airforce Service Pilots (WASP) training aircraft in Texas and Oklahoma during the War. After World War II, the aircraft was sold a few times before it was disassembled and put into storage in 1950. It was removed from storage in 2001 and returned to service in 2009.

In 2020, the Commemorative Air Force purchased the aircraft and assigned it to the Music City Wing in Tennessee.

The CAF Music City Wing serves to promote ongoing support and recognition for our veterans of current and past wars through the operation of our CAF aircraft on pro-bono ride days as well as week long veterans appreciation weeks and tours. To learn about their stories and share them with the community through educational events. To encourage, support, and mentor our younger members and next generation of aviation enthusiasts while participating in various youth events in the Middle Tennessee area. Along with veterans we as a whole do not believe that anybody ages 12 through 18 (seniors in high school) should have to pay to experience aviation and a part of history. Continually work on expanding our unit in Middle Tennessee such that we may continue to educate and preserve history for both our local community and surrounding areas. By expanding our footprint in both aircraft fleet and membership size we will be able to participate and help run more events in our area that serve to educate and celebrate our veterans, youth, and this great nation’s history.

    No events currently scheduled.
