Online Event After two years of work completed by CAF Airbase Georgia’s dedicated Restoration Team, the Fairchild PT-19A, serial number 42-83511, took to the skies again on January 19, 2024. The PT-19 was designed to provide pilots a trainer more like the fighters they would eventually fly in combat. This historic aircraft was initially used to train the Tuskegee Airmen, America’s first Black military pilots in World War II. Join members of CAF Airbase Georgia and learn the process of discovering the aircraft’s lineage and the restoration work that brought this historic aircraft back to life.
