Memorial Day Flyover SoCal
May 25, 2026 On Monday, May 25, the Inland Empire Wing of the Commemorative Air Force will honor Memorial Day with a special flyover featuring our historic C-53 “D-Day Doll” and T-6 Texan.
Memorial Day is a solemn day of remembrance for the men and women who gave their lives in service to our nation. As part of our mission to Honor, Inspire, and Educate, the Inland Empire Wing is proud to use these historic aircraft to pay tribute to those who served, those who sacrificed, and the families who carry their memory forward.
The D-Day Doll, a World War II-era C-53 Skytrooper, and our T-6 Texan, a legendary military trainer, represent the courage, service, and aviation history that helped shape America’s story. Their presence in the sky serves as a flying memorial and a reminder that freedom has always come at a cost.
We invite our members, supporters, veterans, families, and the community to pause with us this Memorial Day as we honor those who gave all.
All gave some. Some gave all. We will never forget.
