ONLINE EVENT- Professor Allison Whitney explains how World War II’s influences can be seen throughout the Star Wars franchise. From special effects to sound design, cinematography to costume, and even in fans' interpretations of the series, Star Wars gives us an opportunity to think about the aftermath and legacy of the War, even today.
Allison Whitney, Ph.D., is an associate professor of film and media studies in the Department of English and the director of the Interdisciplinary Minor in Film and Media Studies at Texas Tech University (@TexasTechYou) in Lubbock, Texas.
