CAF Warbird Tube - No. 1 British Flying Training School Museum's New Stearman
August 29, 2026 We are exploring the newest addition to the No. 1 British Flying Training School Museum's collection. Donated by retired U.S. Navy aviator Phil Webb, the Ole 42 Stearman has completed its tour to become a permanent part of the museum's collection.
Join Chairman of the Board and the Executive Director Denis Rottler and Board Member and caretaker of the Old 42 Carl Best as they share the story behind the museum's recently acquired Stearman and what this aircraft represents to the legacy of the British Flying Training School. The two will also discuss the aircraft's journey, its historical significance, and how it will help preserve the story of the thousands of Royal Air Force cadets who trained in Texas during World War II.
